Board Meeting- October 21, 2013

Gwen
Janulis called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m.
Kristi
Hommell presented the minutes from the previous meeting. The minutes were presented in the form of a
motion. There were no additions or
corrections, and the minutes were approved.
Treasurer
Tonya Johnson reported the PTA fundraiser was a success, earning $7,010. Sales from Miller Perry T-shirts & key
chains are at $1,607 and other various donations $894. Approximately $200 was spent on food for the
hoe-down held Oct. 3rd. PTA
membership is still rising with a total of 283 as of Oct 10.
American
Education Week is Nov. 18-22- Gwen gave some dates on events.
Teacher
Breakfast: Tuesday, Nov. 19
Teacher
Lunch: Friday, Nov. 22
Gwen
discussed preparations for the holiday market and talent showcase, scheduled
for Nov. 21 (6:00-8:30) & will be held in the cafeteria/annex. Julie Hammonds is working on getting venders
for this event. Rehearsal for kids who wish to be in the talent show will be
held soon. Members discussed the menu and will decide by the next meeting.
Becky
Hamilton will now be the Reflections chair.
The
ribbon cutting for the new auditorium will be held on November 14.
Next
Board Meeting- November 11 at 10a.m.
The
meeting was adjourned at 10:53.
