Please join us at the Kingsport PTA Council Meeting on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 6:30
pm. The meeting will take place at the Higher Education Center, downtown Kingsport, conference room
332, 3rd floor.
The guest speaker for the evening will be Kingsport Board of Education member Susan Lodal.
She will present information on current education issues (i.e.
legislation that has been introduced for elected school superintendents
as well as school vouchers) that will most certainly directly effect our
schools.
Additional guests include Danelle Glasscock, Executive Director of United
Way of Greater Kingsport. She will be sharing information of their new
Early Grade Reading initiative. The steering committee wants to include
parental involvement, particularly PTA parental involvement, in getting
this initiative up and running.
